How to Publish NaNoWriMo Novels
Until June 30, 2013, students have an opportunity to have 5 free copies of their book mailed to them. You would need to set up an account with a website called CreateSpace and the only thing you would pay is shipping and handling. Students will need their "Winner's Code" in order to get the five free copies.
Below is ALL the information you need to make that happen. It's totally optional, but the kids would LOVE it if you helped with that. And it is NOT something we can do at school, since it requires parent involvement.
How to Get Set Up With CreateSpace
Click HERE to see a letter from CreatSpace on how to proceed from here to get the five free copies. This letter gives you all the instructions on how to get those five free copies.
Contacting CreateSpace with Questions
Here is a Link to CreateSpace's Contact Form to email questions to them directly. Remember, I won't be able to answer CreateSpace Questions since this is my first time with NaNoWriMo.
What I do know:
-ALL of my students are eligible to get their five free copies.
-They don't have to have written 50,000 words.
-They all have winner's codes that I will give them when ready.
-You have until June 30th, 2013 to help with this step.
-They don't need to try to publish or sell their novels.
-This entire Purely Optional step is just that: Purely Optional!
Email me at pdevoto@reedschools.org and I will send you your code!
