Please reinforce the necessity of staying up-to-date. Citations
When you write a report, it is important to cite your sources. This means that you record certain information about the books and articles you read so that somebody else reading your report can go back to those sources and confirm that they are accurate and valid. Citing your sources is critical to any research project.
To be sure that you don't lost any work, you will want to write your citations in multiple locations. I suggest on your "Tri-Fold Book Report" packet as well as somewhere digital that will be easy to access. This could be in a browser bookmark folder, a note on your iPad, or a folder on your computer's desktop.
See the document below for citation formatting guidelines.

Example Essay - Georgia O'Keeffe
On November 15, 1887, Georgia O’Keeffe was born in Wisconsin. Georgia was second of seven children. She was very young when she showed signs of becoming an artist. Georgia loved nature and had a creative spirit. When she was really little she put dirt in her mouth lo see what it tasted like! Georgia took art lessons while she was growing up and did so well her parents encouraged her to go to many art schools after high school.
In 1907, Georgia studied art at the Art Students League in New York. A year later she met Alfred Stieglitz (a famous photographer), and they married in 1924. ln 1945 Georgia bought a house in New Mexico and called it Ghost Ranch. Sadly, in 1946, Stieglitz fell ill and died. Three years later Georgia moved to New Mexico and stayed there until her death in 1986 at the age of 98.
From 1908 to 1910, Georgia stopped painting and became a commercial artist in Chicago to try to raise money to go back to art school. In 1916, Stieglitz showed some of her charcoal drawings in his gallery in New York. A year later her first solo exhibit opened in New York. In 1923, Georgia’s first annual exhibit opened.
In 1917, Georgia began to paint New York City. This was unusual because only men had painted famous city pictures before. In 1924, she stopped painting the city and began to paint huge flowers. This was also unusual because in other paintings the flowers had been tiny! 5 years later Georgia saw New Mexico and began to paint desert scenes and animal bones. Georgia won many awards over her lifetime. ln 1977, she won the highest civilian honor, the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
Georgia is one of Americas’ famous artists. She is most famous for her flowers, but she had many dilïerent styles.
